Welcome to 'The 'Big Weekend' Business Conference 2008 hosted by the Durham Business School’s Alumni Association - Agora, in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute, Northern Leadership Academy (TBC) and the Association of MBAs.
We hope that the event will provide business people in the North East with an exciting and interesting educational programme that will also generate a number of opportunities for them to network with their peers from the region.
The 2 day event will include an 'Entrepreneurs Fair' on Friday and a conference on Saturday entitled ‘The Networked Company’ that will investigate how current technology affects strategy, management and leadership in the 21st Century. We are delighted that we have already secured three excellent speakers who will explain the future issues that surround networking and business.
The event will also include our Spring Gala Alumni Ball on the Saturday evening.
The ‘Big Weekend’ delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in a two pre arranged 1-2-1 ‘speed dating’ type business networking or 'matchmaking' meetings. Each meeting is designed to encourage greater cooperation and inter-trading between the event delegates.
